The Broker - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently coming. That should round things out once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.
